Switch on the TO2026.
The monitor, its four disk drives, an extension module and a language cartridge, just as on the living-room table in 1984. Everything works: click the screen to type, and click each part to handle it.
Choose a cartridge
As on the real TO7, the cartridge holds the language. Without one the computer can do nothing: its menu only offers the light pen. Insert one and the machine restarts; the menu then shows what it holds.
Extension module
Plug the module's chips in or out. A removed chip goes silent, as if the board were missing.
- The screenClick it to type. The FULL SCREEN button enlarges it and keeps the 4:3 proportions; the sun sets the brightness, the switch turns it off.
- The cartridgeIt holds the language: BASIC 128 or BASIC 2026. Change it: the machine restarts and its menu shows what the cartridge holds. Without a cartridge only the light pen is left, as in 1984.
- The extension moduleMEA8000 speech, TS-26 sound and the N: network. Its yellow lights show the chips plugged in.
- The drivesDisk 0 is your work disk, disk 1 a floppy lost on closing, disk 2 your space on our servers with ProAdmin, disk 3 the system disk. Click a drive to manage it. The green light comes on at each access.
Tip: with the BASIC 2026 cartridge, choice 3 of the menu, the disk, opens the desktop directly. The machine itself speaks French.
